“The goblin engines, though minute and ramshackle, are no less dangerous.”
–qie Zi, The Art of Seej

The Marshmallow Mangonel evolved after a Twitter conversation with a educator who’s interested in bringing Seej into the elementary classroom. The Penny Catapult and Penny Ballista can pitch a penny with enough force to make a second grader cry, so kinder and gentler ammunition was clearly needed.

The outer edges of this engine are beveled a bit so that it’s easier on little hands.

The side braces are designed to fit on smaller build platforms like those found on the Printrbot Simple and Makibox.

According to Slic3r 0.9.10b, the side struts are non-manifold and slicing results in tiny unprintable dots. I got the rest of the parts printed on my Printrbot Jr, what do I need to do to print the rest?

I’ll take a look at it and see if I can figure out what’s up. I’ve sliced this with ReplicatorG, MakerWare, and an older version of Slic3r with no problems, maybe there’s a problem in the beta version Slic3r?

What do you think?
